NLC Minutes/Summary to Develop a 2511 Driver List
A. The Need
Parolees on
work release and flat-timers with inadequate transportation
The limits
of traveling on foot or using a bike
The need
for short/quick trips for groceries, supplies or work
The need
for transportation out of the area…to Reservations, Rapid City, etc…
B.
The Idea
Develop a
2511 Driver List {re:
Matthew 25:11}
The
2511 Driver List will include
information about the driver’s availability and level of time and commitment
The
transportation need of the parolee/flat-timer will be matched with an available
driver on the 2511 Driver List
The
M-2 office will maintain the
2511 Driver List and will provide the
administration for matching drivers with those needing transportation
D.
The Strategy
First
develop a 2511 Resource List {
of local churches
Use the
2511 Resource List to develop a
single point of contact at each church
Use point
of contact at each church to develop the 2511
Driver List
The
2511 Resource List in general as well
as the 2511 Driver List will
engage church members into much needed 2511
Ministries
These
ministries will introduce parolees/flat-timers into a world that is both helpful
and unfamiliar

The Plan
Do an
initial M-2
mailing to start the 2511 Resource
List
Use our
NLC network {knowledge of churches
currently involved with 2511 Ministries}
to further develop the 2511 Resource List
Use a
general list of Sioux Falls area churches to make personal contact and further
develop the 2511 Resource List
Use the
larger 2511 Resource List to
develop the smaller/specific 2511 Driver List
